Long ago most of Brazilian business chose their names from French or Italian if they wanted to look cool. So there was a bunch of “boulevards, coiffeurs, belvedere”, etc. From the 50’s onwards, Brazilians started to use English, instead. I was 7 when Pele retired from soccer. Though I remember his last official match in USA Cosmos, I’ve never saw he actually playing in a true world class league team. So for all of you like me who never saw Pele actually playing, the video above (yep, this is Ira’s fault, heh).
